Yes, you read that correctly. The Number Of The Blog is proud to sponsor Iron Thrones’ 2010 summer tour with Augusta, Maine’s Last Chance To Reason! It seems only fitting that TNOTB’s favorite Minnesotans should be the ones to hook up with us for our first official tour presentation, of course. Here’s your chance to see these guys live!
Also, the guys need a bit o’ help. First and foremost, they need street team members to help spread the gospel of Iron Thrones to the unenlightened masses. You can sign up by sending an email to streetteam [at] ironthrones [dot] com… Also, local bands are needed still for the Allenstown, Spartanburg, Clarksville, and Nashville shows, so if you’re in a band and would like to see about opening for the guys, drop them an email at booking [at] ironthrones [dot] com!
Tour dates are as follows:
7/29/10 Chicago, IL @ The Double Door w/ The Alaya Conscious, Hessler
7/31/10 Columbus, OH @ The Summit w/ The C.O.A.S.T., Artillery Breath
8/01/10 Aliquippa, PA @ The Fallout Shelter w/ Sathanas, Dethlehem
8/02/10 Brooklyn, NY@ The Charleston w/ East of the Wall, Name, & more!
8/03/10 Allenstown, NH @ Ground Zero w/ TBA
8/04/10 Worcester, MA @ Tammany Hall w/ Irepress, Frozen
8/05/10 Philadelphia, PA @ The M Room w/ Monolith, Willing Swords
8/07/10 Spartanburg, SC @ Ground Zero w/ TBA
8/10/10 Clarksville, TN @ The Coup w/ Evolve or Die
8/11/10 Nashville, TN @ The Muse w/ TBA
8/12/10 St. Louis, MO @ The Firebird w/ Ashes and Iron

Woo! Our first tour sponsorship! 2 Bands that totally destroy! What more could you possibly need? Ok, well, some local talent… but still this is fucking awesome!
Man, you guys are making it big now, with a fancy tour sponsorship and everything. Next you’ll tell me that you’re making promotional shirts (oh, wait).
But don’t you go Hollywood on my DGR… because we live like 8 hours away and I don’t want to drive out there. Too many Mexicans.
*on me DGR.
Stupid tiny iPhone keyboard
Alright! Congrats gang on getting this going:)
Nice! Wish they were coming closer to DC. I can’t do Philly on a Thursday night. Can’t wait to get the new album this week.
Well done guys! I hope they will tour Europe sometime soon.
Figures, no Michigan show… :/ But hmm, may be worth the 4-hour drive to Columbus…
@Kyle
INORITE!?!?! Although Columbus is a hell of a lot further for me. MI gets the shaft again…. Maybe Kalamazoo or Grand Rapids will get a date next tour?
@deseee
On second thought, driving to the heart of Buckeye Country on a Saturday night in a car with a Michigan license plate (even though I have no affiliation with the University of Michigan other than being from the same state) could be considered a really bad idea…
Hell, I bet Iron Thrones would be perfect in a place like Mac’s Bar in Lansing. Alas, not this time…
@Kyle I completely understand. I try not to go much further than Toledo when entering enemy territory… and I’m an ND fan too so that’s like twice as bad.
Completely unrelated but are you gonna get to the August 7th Summer Slaughter date at Harpos?
@Kyle
As long as you don’t have any stickers from the School Up North you should be alright.
@deseee
You’re an ND fan? WTF do you have against the Buckeyes? If anything you should hate Michigan more…
@groverXIII
I tend to hate both OSU and MI equally, it’s just that I can drive through Ann Arbor and not get flipped off and honked at the same way I would when I head toward Cleveland/Akron or anywhere much further than Toledo.
@groverXIII
Haha, no U-of-M stickers, just my Michigan Tech sticker, but who knows if some inebriated Buckeyes would only see the “Michigan” part and not the “Tech” part and decide to use my car as a roadside toilet or something…
@deseee
I’m thinking about going to SS at Harpos, but haven’t decided for sure one way or the other yet; I’m kinda not as excited about going to Harpos since having my vehicle stolen last time I was there… but anyway, still contemplating.
Michigan gets screwed over again….
@deseee
Maybe you need to learn to drive then… you Michiganders with your no-fault insurance tend to drive like idiots.
I’d go to Columbus in a heartbeat for this show…
…if I wasn’t going to be in Vegas that week. Maybe I’ll get lucky and there will be a show in Cincy next time
When’s the new album coming out? No Florida date?! Nobody ever comes to Florida…
I’ll probably be at the Columbus show. Thankfully it’s not in Cincy. I hate that shithole.
@groverXIII
Your wrong on that one… Detroit drivers are idiots… same as Chicago, same as Indianapolis, same as Cleveland. You being so close to Detroit you see a misappropriate proportion of Detroit drivers as compared to Michigan drivers. You see in the D, they tend to get milder winters than the rest of the state. The rest of Michigan is very hilly and gets a shit ton more snow during the winter so you have to be a good driver or you don’t go anywhere for 4 months a year.
Hence why over on this side of the state, we laugh when people from Ohio, Indiana, Detroit and Illinois go into the ditch on otherwise calm winter days.
Michigan, eh? If you know venues/local bands that’d be interested in having us, we need a show right around there on November 11th for another tour we’re planning! Your help would make it much more likely to happen as I know nobody but you guys in Michigan
Nice gig dudes! And a good band to inaugurate the NOTB sponsorship steamroller. We iz good driverz in Seattle, so why no coming here?
